Matthew 15:14 Blind Leaders of the Blind

    An Anglican priest

14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. -Matthew 15:14 Bible, King James Version

Here Jesus is talking about the orthodox Jewish religious leaders known as the Pharisees. In our day and age the exact same principle applies. The orthodox religious leaders are spiritually blind therefore they lead their spiritually blind followers into re-embodiment.

Emanuel Swedenborg reveals that; 225. all the preachers are from the Lord’s spiritual kingdom; none are from the celestial kingdom… 227. …The doctrine of the inmost heaven is more full of wisdom than the doctrine of the middle heaven, and this more full of intelligence than the doctrine of the outmost heaven; for in each heaven the doctrines are adapted to the perceptions of the angels. (Heaven and its Wonders and Hell From Things Heard and Seen Chapter 25)

...[6]... As a "pit" signifies falsity, and the "blind" signify those who are in falsities [or false beliefs,] (n. 2383), the Lord therefore says, Let them alone; they are blind leaders of the blind, for if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into a pit (Matt. 15:14; Luke 6:39).

Mighty Victory teaches us: "...the masses of mankind, until they are taught this Law, do not have permanent Victory! ...Like a pendulum they swing and swing and swing, and never stabilize anywhere; because they cannot, until they know That Glorious Word "I AM"; understand where the "Mighty I AM Presence" is; what It is and what It can do for them. Only then can they see, know and accept the Reality of the Mighty Ascended Masters; the Great Cosmic Beings... Until they know the "Beloved Mighty I AM Presence" and Its Cosmic Law, they are not stabilized within Permanent Happiness nor Perfection." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1951 June p28-29)
