Luke 7:28 John the Baptist was Elijah

28For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist... Luke 7:28 Bible, King James Version

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon's)

Bible Dictionary

Elias. There are several uses of this word in the scriptures. (1) It is the N.T. (Greek) form of Elijah (Hebrew), as in... Matt. 17:1–4. Elias in these instances can only be the ancient prophet Elijah whose ministry is recorded in 1 and 2 Kings.

Pistis Sophia translated by G. S. R. Mead

CHAPTER 135

...The Saviour answered and said unto Mary: "Amēn, amēn, I say unto you Before I did come into the world... And when I came to the regions of the æons, I have turned Elias and sent him into the body of John the Baptizer, and the rest also I turned into righteous bodies, which will find the mysteries |356. of the Light, go on high and inherit the Light-kingdom...
"...The righteous from the time of Adam unto now, who are in the æons and all the orders of the rulers, when I came to the region of the æons, I have... made to turn into bodies which will all be righteous, -those which will find the mysteries of the Light, enter in and inherit the Light-kingdom."
Mary answered and said: "Blessed are we before all men because of these splendours which thou hast revealed unto us."
And Mary continued and said to the Saviour: "Lo, my Lord, we have openly, exactly and clearly known that thou hast brought the keys of the mysteries of the Light-kingdom, which forgive souls sins and purify them and make them into refined light and lead them into the Light."

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling

CHAPTER 13.

3Now in the hills were many caves. The cave of David was a-near in which the Hermit of Engedi lived. 4This hermit was Matheno, priest of Egypt, master from the temple of Sakara. 5When John was seven years of age Matheno took him to the wilderness and in the cave of David they abode. 6Matheno taught, and John was thrilled with what the master said, and day by day Matheno opened up to him the mysteries of life.

CHAPTER 15.

1When John was twelve years old...2...Matheno said... 9The sages of the ages call you harbinger. The prophets look to you and say, He is Elijah come again. 10Your mission here is that of harbinger; for you will go before Messiah’s face to pave his way, and make the people ready to receive their king. 11This readiness is purity of heart; none but the pure in heart can recognize the king. 12To teach men to be pure in heart you must yourself be pure in heart, and word, and deed. 17Men... come to God through ceremonies and forms. 18And so when you would make men know that sins are washed away by purity in life, a rite symbolic may be introduced. 19In water wash the bodies of the people who would turn away from sin and strive for purity in life. 20This rite of cleansing is a preparation rite and they who thus are cleansed comprise the Church of Purity. 22This rite of cleansing and this church are but symbolic of the cleansing of the soul by purity in life, and of the kingdom of the soul, which does not come with outward show, but is the church within. 29Now in Engedi’s hills Matheno’s work was done and he and John went down to Egypt. They rested not until they reached the temple of Sakara in the valley of the Nile. 31For eighteen years John lived and wrought within these temple gates; and here he conquered self, became a master mind and learned the duties of the harbinger.

CHAPTER 129.

35But Peter said, The scribes have taught that e’er the king shall come Elijah must appear. 36And Jesus said, Elijah has already come; but scribes and Pharisees received him not; 37And men reviled him, bound him, cast him in a prison cell, and shouted with a fiend’s delight to see him die. 38What men have done to him, that they will do to me. 39Then the disciples understood that Jesus spoke of John whom Herod slew.

"The early Christian church accepted the doctrine of reincarnation, which was expounded by the Gnostics and by numerous church fathers, including Clement of Alexandria, the celebrated Origen (both 3rd century), and St. Jerome (5th century). The doctrine was first declared a heresy in A.D. 553 by the Second Council of Constantinople. At that time many Christians thought the doctrine of reincarnation afforded man too ample a stage of time and space to encourage him to strive for immediate salvation. …The truth is that man reincarnates on earth until he has consciously regained his status as a son of God." (Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda p172)

George King reveals in his book The Nine Freedoms: "Reincarnation is, in the eyes of the great Masters, not a theory, but an essential part of Divine Truth, an aspect which, sooner or later, must be taught by every major Religion on Earth. …Not for very much longer can the orthodox leaders of the Christian Religion suppress the existence of Truth regarding reincarnation." (p111)

On this subject the Archangel Michael teaches us: "In the hundreds and thousands of embodiments in which you have lived, similar to these, is the proof that mankind had forgotten their Source." (The Voice of the I AM 1942 November p4)

Luke 7:24-26 John much more than a prophet

24And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? 25But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. 26But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. -Luke 7:24-26 Bible, King James Version

According to The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, Chapter 15:31 "John... became a master mind." Jesus was also referred to as a Master Mind which means they were Christ Conscious.

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling

CHAPTER 13.

1Elizabeth was blest; she spent her time with John, and gave to him the lessons that Elihu and Salome had given her.
2And John delighted in the wildness of his home and in the lessons that he learned.
7John loved the wilderness; he loved his master and his simple fare. Their food was fruits, and nuts, wild honey and the carob bread.

CHAPTER 15.

27Matheno taught the harbinger, and he explained to him the inner meaning of the cleansing rite and how to wash himself and how to wash the multitude.
29Now in Engedi’s hills Matheno’s work was done and he and John went down to Egypt. They rested not until they reached the temple of Sakara in the valley of the Nile.
30For many years Matheno was a master in this temple of the Brotherhood, and when he told about the life of John and of his mission to the sons of men, the hierophant with joy received the harbinger and he was called the Brother Nazarite.
31For eighteen years John lived and wrought within these temple gates; and here he conquered self, became a master mind and learned the duties of the harbinger.

Luke 6:45 As a Man Thinketh so is He

45A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. -Luke 6:45 Bible, King James Version

As a man thinks so is he spiritually either good or evil. We rise or fall spiritually in the inner worlds according to the quality of our thoughts and feelings. The devil we must all overcome is our own human mind and emotions. If there is a battle between the mind and the emotions, the emotions usually win therefore the easiest way I believe to take control of the mind and the emotions is to open up the Heart chakra. This effectively closes the lower Solar-plexus chakra of emotion and replaces it with Divine Love. Out of these higher Divine Feelings naturally flow pure thoughts just as evil thoughts naturally flow out of negative emotions such as anger.

Luke 6:39 Can the blind lead the blind?

39And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? -Luke 6:39 Bible, King James Version

How can those who are spiritually blind lead those who are spiritually blind? Many of the spiritual leaders in this day and age are spiritually blind because they do not know the way to freedom from re-embodiment in this lifetime therefore they will only lead their followers into the ditch of re-embodiment.

Luke 6:29 Retaliation

29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other... -Luke 6:29 Bible, King James Version

When we enter into some kind of battle with the forces of evil we risk being dragged down spiritually to their level of consciousness. The Elohim of Purity teaches us: If... the slightest feeling comes within you to retaliate or as you say -"get even with someone,"...kill it instantly within you! It is more dangerous than a rattle snake. It is more dangerous to your Expansion of the Light, than you know! Don't allow those things to dwell within you. (The Voice of the I AM, 1946 June p14) It is far better to let God fight our battles for us. One can be assured that the Law of the Harvest or the Law of Karma will exact a just response without us doing anything. In the Inner Worlds especially, but this can also become an outer protection, one can use the Light of God for protection. The Ascended Masters teach that the Light of God never fails. For example, by visualizing or using an I AM Decree we can place ourselves in a protective Pillar of White Light. Also by opening up the Heart and Crown Chakras we can increase this protection because this increases the flow of Light down from our I AM Presence and Higher Mental Body which reside above us. If we turn to our I AM Presence for assistance we can use an I AM Decree to ask for specific help. For example, there are legions of Angels who can come to our aid. We read in the Old Testament of the Bible an example of God's invisible protection involving the prophet Elisha: 15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. -2 Kings 6:15-17 Bible, King James Version

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling

CHAPTER 122.

17If you are not received in kindness in a town, bear not away an evil thought; do not resist. 18An evil thought of any kind will do you harm; will dissipate your power.

Luke 6:27-28 Love your enemies

27But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. -Luke 6:27-28 Bible, King James Version

An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth represents the Law of the Harvest or the Law of Karma which basically rewards or punishes mankind according to their behaviour. In order to avoid unpleasant karmic consequences we must stop all negative thoughts, feelings, words and actions towards others including some kind of battle. Instead we should all become like suns of  God radiating only the feelings and Light of Divine Love to all including one's enemies. In this way we become perfect even as our I AM Presence or Father which is in Heaven is perfect.

Luke 6:17-19 Virtue healed them all!

17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. -Luke 6:17-19 Bible, King James Version

The Virtue of Purity Is the Expression and Fruit of Life
According to the Spirit
Pope John Paul II

Purity is the Light of Heavenly Love and is the Power of God which filled Jesus' body and His clothing. Saint Germain teaches us: "Purity is Freedom and Purity is Light! Therefore, whatever draws you into the Light, draws you up and out of fear and limitation... You cannot be Free without Purity... The thing humanity requires most is Purity... The demand of the Cosmic Law is Absolute Purity, if you are to wield the Unlimited Powers of Light in this Universe; for thru a soiled window the Light does not shine." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1944 June p5-7)

Luke 6:13 He chose twelve apostles

13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; -Luke 6:13 King James Version (KJV)

Arcana Coelestia, by Emanuel Swedenborg, [1749-56], tr. by John F. Potts [1905-10], at sacred-texts.com

That the number "twelve" signifies faith, or the things of love and the derivative faith in one complex, might also be confirmed by many passages from the Word, as from the "twelve" sons of Jacob and their names, the "twelve" tribes of Israel, and the Lord's "twelve" apostles; but concerning these of the Lord's Divine mercy hereafter, especially in Genesis 29 and 30.

...the signification of "twelve," as being all things of faith or of the church (n. 577, 2089, 2129, 2130) ...That all numbers in the Word signify actual things, may be clearly seen from the number "twelve," which so often occurs. This number, wherever it occurs in the Word, signifies all; as for instance the "twelve tribes" in the Old Testament, and the "twelve apostles" in the New, signify all things of faith, and thus all things of the church... [2] That "twelve" has this signification may be seen from the passages adduced in the sections above cited, as also from the following passages in the Word. In John: I heard the number of those who were sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel. Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand; of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand; of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand (Rev. 7:4-5); and so on; where by "twelve thousand sealed out of every tribe" nothing else is signified than that all who are in faith, that is, who are in the good of faith, are saved. Again: A woman encompassed with the sun, and the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (Rev. 12:1); the "woman" denotes the church (n. 252, 253); the "sun," celestial love; and the "moon," spiritual love (n. 30-38, 1529, 1530, 2441, 2495); the "twelve stars" denote all things of faith. (That "stars" are the knowledges of good and truth which are of faith, may be seen above, n. 2495, 2849.) [3] Again: The holy city, New Jerusalem, had twelve gates, and upon the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. And he measured the wall thereof, a hundred and forty and four cubits (twelve times twelve), which is the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls (Rev. 21:2, 12, 14, 16-17, 21); here by the "holy city" nothing else is signified than the Lord's spiritual kingdom; and by "gates," "wall," "foundations" are signified the things of charity and faith; and by "twelve," so often mentioned, are signified all of these things; that neither twelve tribes nor twelve apostles are signified, must be evident to everyone. Again: In the midst of the street of it, and on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit every month (Rev. 22:2); the "twelve fruits" are all things of charity. [4] In Matthew: Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed Me in the regeneration, when the Son of man shall sit upon the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Matt. 19:28); here apostles are not meant by "apostles," nor thrones by "thrones," nor tribes by "tribes," but all things that are of faith (n. 2129). Moreover in the Word of the Old Testament, where "twelve tribes" are mentioned, it is all things of the church that are signified; and the case is the same with the "twelve stones according to the names of the twelve tribes of Israel" in the Urim and Thummim (Exod. 28:21); and with the "twelve loaves" of the show bread set in order upon the table (Lev. 24:5-6); and so in other instances. That all things of faith are contained also in the very names of the twelve sons of Jacob or Israel, will be seen, of the Lord's Divine mercy in what follows...

Luke 5:36-39 Put new wine into new bottles

36And he spake also a parable unto them... 37...no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. 39No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better. -Luke 5:36-39 Bible, King James Version

Pope Benedict XVI   marked the end of 2011 with prayers

When Jesus brought the New Testament teachings to the Jews, who were and still are following the Old Testament teachings, God couldn't bring them forth through the old Jewish religion because they were too set in their ways. God had to establish a new Christian religion which could handle these New Testament teachings. In this day and age the New Testament teachings have now become the teachings of the Old Dispensation and the teachings of the Ascended Masters, including Jesus and Saint Germain, have become the teachings of the New Dispensation. The old religions based on the teachings of the Bible have become set in their ways so they do not receive the Fulness of the Gospel as taught by the Ascended Masters.

The Beloved Master Jesus teaches us:

"...all that the Mighty Saint Germain has brought forth upon the Earth do I clothe constantly in that Cosmic Flame of Cosmic Love! Long through the centuries have I loved Him! Long through the centuries have We worked together, and forever through the centuries shall We stand side by side for the Freedom and Protection of the World, and to your Ascension  and that of mankind! "I AM" the Magnet of that Great Cosmic Light and Love which shall draw all mankind unto Me; and He, My Brother Saint Germain, is the Cosmic Flame of Cosmic Love in Its Cleansing Power to free the Earth from that which is of the shadows."  ('The Voice of the I AM' April 1972 p26)

"With all that We have done thru the ages, mankind is not yet Free, except as they use This Law of the "Beloved Mighty I AM Presence." So when you enter into this Understanding of the Cosmic Law of your own Life, try to realize that everything which has gone on before, and has helped you, is to be blessed and thanked for its service; but when you enter into the CONSCIOUS KNOWLEDGE of the "Beloved Mighty I  AM Presence," you cannot keep all that has gone before and hold on to This too. You either enter in thru the Door of Light, which your "Beloved I AM Presence" is, and become ALL of Its Perfection; or if you hold on to the habits and conditions of the past, which have not set you Free, you won't go thru this Door of Light." ('The Voice of the I AM' May 1948 p22)

Luke 3:38 Adam was the son of God

38...Adam... was the son of God. -Luke 3:38 Bible, King James Version

To my understanding millions of years ago all mankind lived on this earth as gods who are represented by Adam and Eve. Children were not created the way they are today but were manifested as adults by the Light of God.

In the book 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramahansa Yogananda (pp 169-170) he is taught about the Adam and Eve story by his Master Sri Yukteswar: "Genesis is deeply symbolic, and cannot be grasped by a literal interpretation" he explained... "GOD CREATED THE HUMAN SPECIES BY MATERIALIZING THE BODIES OF MAN AND WOMAN THROUGH THE FORCE OF HIS WILL; HE ENDOWED THE NEW SPECIES WITH THE POWER TO CREATE CHILDREN (p169) IN A SIMILAR 'IMMACULATE' OR DIVINE MANNER... God made the first human bodies, symbolically called Adam and Eve..."

Luke 4:28-30 Jesus became invisible

... 30 but he passing through the midst of them went his way view luke 4

28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way -Luke 4:28-30 Bible, King James Version (KJV)

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling

CHAPTER 86.

15And then the people were enraged; they rushed upon him, bound him down with cords, and took him to a precipice not far away, intent to cast him down to death; 16But when they thought they held him fast, he disappeared; unseen he passed among the angry men, and went his way. 17The people were confounded and they said, What manner of a man is this? 18And when they came again to Nazareth, they found him teaching in the synagogue. 19They troubled him no more for they were sore afraid.

The Ascended Master Saint Germain teaches Godfre: "We many times draw about our bodies the cloak of invisibility when moving among those in physical form," and the next second he was gone. I had heard of the Great Ascended Masters who could take their bodies with them wherever they go and manifest or bring into visibility anything they desire to use direct from the Universal... To Saint Germain it was evidently a most ordinary occurance." ('Unveiled Mysteries' by Godre Ray King p28)

Luke 3:23 Jesus about thirty years of age

23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age... Luke 3:23 Bible, King James Version

The Bible gives us an historical account of Jesus’ life and teachings in Jerusalem during his three year mission from about the age of thirty to thirty-three. It also includes a few brief references indicating that Jesus spent part of His early life in Egypt and that He was teaching in the Temple of Jerusalem at age twelve. (Luke 2:42 & Matthew 2:13-15) Apart from this there is no account of Jesus’ life and teachings between the ages of twelve and thirty. There is only a veiled reference to his disciples in other lands when He teaches the Jews: Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: [in Jerusalem] them also I must bring, and they shall here my voice. (John 10:16)  To find out about this period in Jesus’ life we must look beyond the Bible.

                                             NICOLAS NOTOVITCH

Frank J. Muccie, Jr. points out that; Jesus’ visits and stays in foreign lands is an absolute certainty, as many ancient Essene. documents verify this. One account was discovered in Tibet by Nicolas Notovitch. He had two manuscripts read to him by the lama of the Hemis Convent which were translated from scrolls belonging to the Lhasa Library. The Hemis monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located in Hemis, Ladakh within the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. These were placed in a Convent standing on Mount Marbour, near Lhasa. This version of Jesus’ life and teachings was originally recorded within three or four years after the death of Jesus Who it refers to as Issa. Isa means Lord over everything. Jesus is also referred to as Isa in the Qur’an, or Koran, the Muslim’s Holy Book. From this account we learn that when Issa had attained the age of thirteen, when an Israelite should take a wife, it was then that Issa secretly left his father’s house, went out of Jerusalem, and in the company of some merchants, travelled toward Sindh. Sindhi is one of the provinces of Pakistan. In the course of His fourteenth year, young Issa visited Juggernaut where He received a joyous welcome from the white priests of Brahma. He spent six years in Juggernaut, [which is in the Puri town, Orissa state, India. The life of the town centers around the cult of Juggernaut, a form of the Krishna incarnation of Vishnu.]  Rajagriha, [Rajgar, ancient Rajagriha, is a city in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar] Benares, [in India] and other holy cities. The white priests and the warriors becoming aware of the discourse addressed by Issa to the Soudras, the lowest division in the Hindu caste system, resolved upon His death and sent their servants for this purpose. But Issa, warned of this danger by the Soudras, fled in the night from Juggernaut, gained the mountains, and took refuge in the Gothamide Country. The Gothamide Country is apparently the birthplace of the Great Buddha Cakya-Mouni which is the Tibetan name for Siddharta Buddha the founder of Buddhism who was born in Lumbini which was originally in Northern India but is now in Nepal. Six years later Issa left Nepal and the Himalaya Mountains and went westward. The Divine Issa taught the people. When He reached Persia the priests were terrified and forbade the inhabitants to listen to him. Issa was twenty-nine years of age when He arrived in the land of Israel. (See The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ by Nicolas Notovitch.

There have been others who have visited the Hemis monastery confirming the existence of the Issa manuscript. In his book Journey into Kashmir and Tibet, Swami Abhedananda of the Ramakrishna Society travelled to Hemis after he had read Nicolas Notovitch’s book to see the manuscript for himself. He was shown a manuscript which was a translation into Tibetan of the original manuscript which was in a monastery at Marbour near Lhasa. He made a translation himself which apparently closely matched that of Nicolas Notovitch’s version.

                                                   Hemis Festival - Hemis Monastery

Nicholas Roerich also visited the Hemis monastery in 1925. He published an account of this in his books Altai-Himalaya-A Travel Diary and Heart of Asia-Memoirs from the Himalayas. This is also supported by Murdo MacDonald Bayne’s book Beyond the Himalayas in which Geshi Tung La points out: The Master Jesus.  We have records of him here. [in Tibet] According to C. W. Leadbeater, in his book The Masters and the Path  we read: In Tibet… a narrow door… leads to a system of vast subterranean halls containing an occult [or secret] museum of which the Master Kuthumi is the Guardian on behalf of the Great White Brotherhood. …Original manuscripts of incredible antiquity… are here to be seen- a manuscript for example… written by the Lord Christ during his birth in Palestine.
              Levi H. Dowling

Another account of Jesus’ life and teachings in Egypt, India, Persia, Greece, Tibet and Jerusalem is recorded in a book entitled The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling. Early in life Levi had a vision in which he was told that he was to; build a white city. This vision was repeated three times with years intervening. The building of the white city was The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ. The contents of his book were transcribed from the Akashic Records. These are records in the atmosphere or on a higher Plane in the Spirit World. In this account while Mary, Joseph and Elizabeth with their sons Jesus and John were in Zoan Egypt they were taught for three years by the Masters Elihu and Salome before they returned back home. Jesus spends a year living in the Jerusalem Temple. Some time after the age of twelve He travels with Ravanna, a royal prince of Orissa in India, where He becomes a pupil in the temple Jagannath and here He learned the Vedas. Jesus with his friend Lamaas went through all the regions of Orissa and the valley of the Ganges. In Benares of the Ganges Jesus learnt the Hindu art of healing. For four years Jesus abode in the temple Jagannath. In the cities of Orissa Jesus taught. At Katak, by the river side, He taught and thousands of the people followed him. At Behar, on the sacred river of the Brahms, He taught for many days. The Brahmic priests are enraged because of Jesus’ teachings and so they resolve to drive Him from India. They find a murderer by trade and sent him out by night to slay Jesus so he left Benares and journeyed to the city of Kapivastu in the Himalayas. Jesus spends time in Lhasa, Tibet, then He travels to Lahore with a caravan of merchantmen who were journeying through the Kashmir vale as Jesus passed that way. They had seen His mighty works in Leh. Leh was the capital of the Himalayan Kingdom of Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. He was twenty-four years of age when He entered Persia. The priests forbade Him from teaching or healing the sick but He regarded not their angry threats. In time He reached Persepolis, the city of the learned Magi, Hor, Lun and Mer, the three wise men. When Jesus’ work in Persia was done He resumed His journey to Chaldea. In Ur He tarried for a time before travelling home to Nazareth. Jesus longed to study with the Masters in the schools of Greece so He left Nazareth, crossed the Carmel hills, and took a ship to the Grecian capital where He teaches the Greek Masters. Next He sails to Egypt and travels to Zoan where His mother was taught twenty-five years before. At age thirty Jesus begins His Mission in Jerusalem. Following His Resurrection Jesus appears in Jerusalem, India, Persia, Greece, near Rome, Egypt and finally He Ascends to Heaven on the Mount of Olives. According to the Mormon Church’s Book of Mormon Jesus also visited the people in ancient America after His resurrection.

His Holiness Sri Shankaracharya Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaj

We read in Levi Dowling’s account that Jesus was accepted as a pupil in the temple Jagannath. (See p40 The Aquarian Gospel Jesus the Christ.) In 1959 the Shankaracharya of Puri, India, His Holiness Sri Bharati Krishna Titha was interviewed by Sri Daya Mata who was the President of the Self-Realization Fellowship. She commented that she had been told that Jesus spent some of his life in India in association with her illumined sages. His Holiness replied; That is true. I have studied ancient records in the Puri Jagannath Temple archives confirming those facts. He was known as Isha and during part of his time in India he stayed in the Jagannath Temple. When he returned to his part of the world he expounded the teachings known today as Christianity.

Jagannatha Temple, Puri, Orissa

Godfre and Lotus Ray King from the Saint Germain Foundation in 1940 claimed that Jesus the Christ stood in their home many times in His Visible Tangible Ascended Master Body, held them in His Arms and they kissed His Hands. (See The Voice of the I AM 1940 p39) In 1941 Jesus revealed to them that He visited some places in India before his Ministry in Judea began. With regards to the limited amount of information concerning the life and teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible Saint John admits; there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. (John 21:25)

Luke 3:21-22 The Holy Ghost descended like a dove

21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. -Luke 3:21-22 Bible, King James Version

"At Pentacost when the Lord the Maha Chohan sent down the Assistance to the Disciples, who were to carry on and use These Greater Powers which We had explained to them, there had to be Tongues of Flame come from the Lord Maha Chohan, directly into the brain structure of those who were to stand against the destructive forces of the outer world! ...The Beloved Lord the Maha Chohan... HE IS THE AUTHORITY AND THE PRESENCE WHICH PROJECTS THAT FLAME INTO THE BRAIN STRUCTURE OF THOSE IN THIS WORLD! I received It from Him, at the moment of baptism; and the Disciples received It from Him, just before they were to go to the outer world. It is the Gift of the Greater Powers of the Sacred Fire, which enables the outer self to be FREE from many and all limitations. It is the release of the Fire Element necessary to consume the human; and give the Greater Strengh to the outer self of others, to do that which sets each Life Stream FREE." -Beloved Master Jesus ('The Voice of the I AM' July 1948 p15)

Luke 3:16-17 The ritual of baptism

16John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire 17...unquenchable. -Luke 3:16 Bible, King James Version

                                           Baptism of Jesus

John the Baptist introduced the symbolic rite, or ritual, of baptism which pointed the way to the real cleansing Baptism of Fire which the Master Jesus would bring. Mankind may be baptized in water a thousand times but this will not cleanse them of their sins because it is only symbolic. The Ascended Masters teach that the use of the Violet Flame is the way to cleanse ourselves of all our past mistakes.

The Beloved Master Jesus teaches: "Mankind thru the centuries has not been Free, even with all the Instruction that has been given from age to age; because individuals did not know the use of the Violet Consuming Flame!" ('The Voice of the I AM' 1948 March p13-14) Also He teaches: "...Know what the Beloved Saint Germain has given to you in the use of the Violet Consuming Flame. That is the Heavenly Love of Purity, Forgiveness and Mercy to Life in the use of the Sacred Fire."  ('The Voice of the I AM' 1948 April p12)

...No one receives heaven... through baptism; for baptism is merely for a sign and memorial that man should be regenerated...

CHAPTER 35.

Jesus and Vidyapati consider the needs of the incoming age of the world.
1The Indian sage and Jesus often met and talked about the needs of nations and of men; about the sacred doctrines, forms and rites best suited to the coming age.
2One day they sat together in a mountain pass, and Jesus said, The coming age will surely not require priests, and shrines, and sacrifice of life.
3There is no power in sacrifice of beast, or bird, to help a man to holy life.
4And Vidyapati said, All forms and rites are symbols of the things that men must do within the temple of the soul.
5The Holy One requires man to give his life in willing sacrifice for men, and all the so-called offerings on altars and on shrines that have been made since time began, were made to teach man how to give himself to save his brother man; for man can never save himself except he lose his life in saving other men.
6The perfect age will not require forms and rites and carnal sacrifice. The coming age is not the perfect age, and men will call for object lessons and symbolic rites.
7And in the great religion you shall introduce to men, some simple rites of washings and remembrances will be required; but cruel sacrifice of animals, and birds the gods require not.
8And Jesus said, Our God must loathe the tinseled show of priests and priestly things.
9When men array themselves in showy garbs to indicate that they are servants of the gods, and strut about like gaudy birds to be admired by men, because of piety or any other thing, the Holy One must surely turn away in sheer disgust.
10All people are alike the servants of our Father-God, are kings and priests.
11Will not the coming age demand complete destruction of the priestly caste, as well as every other caste and inequality among the sons of men?
12And Vidyapati said, The coming age is not the age of spirit life and men will pride themselves in wearing priestly robes, and chanting pious chants to advertise themselves as saints.
13The simple rites that you will introduce will be extolled by those who follow you, until the sacred service of the age will far outshine in gorgeousness the priestly service of the Brahmic age.
14This is a problem men must solve.
15The perfect age will come when every man will be a priest and men will not array themselves in special garb to advertise their piety.

CHAPTER 78.

1And Jesus went to Jericho, and at the inn of Asher he abode.
5But Jesus did not tarry long in Jericho; he went down to the Jordan ford where John was wont to teach.
6The multitudes were there and Jesus said to them, Behold, the time has come; the kingdom is at hand.
7None but the pure in heart can come into the kingdom of the Holy One; but every son and daughter of the human race is called upon to turn from evil and become the pure in heart.
8The resolution to attain and enter through the Christine gate into the kingdom of the Holy One will constitute discipleship, and every one must make a public pledge of his discipleship.
9John washed your bodies in the stream, symbolic of the cleansing of the soul, in preparation for the coming of the king, the opening of the Christine gate into the kingdom of the Holy One.
10John did a mighty work; but now the Christine gate is opened up, and washing is established as the pledge of your discipleship.
11Until this age [the Piscean Age] shall close this pledge shall be a rite, and shall be called, Baptism rite; and it shall be a sign to men, and seal to God of men’s discipleship.

In the book 'Beyond the Himalayas' by Murdo MacDonald-Bayne, Geshe Rimpoche talks about rituals: "Ritual is mental, not spiritual; the ways of performing it may be different, but it is all of the mind and this is what you have to understand, otherwise you can never be free. If you refuse to understand it, you are still bound by it, whether you believe it or disbelieve it. Spirituality is the silent expression of Love, Wisdom and Power, not the repeating of ritual. (p40) The Christian religion has form and ritual too. It may be slightly different but they are all similar." (p39)

Luke 3:12 Was John the Baptist a Master?

2 ...the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins...
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
-Luke 3:12 Bible, King James Version (KJV)

According to The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, Chapter 15:31 "John... became a master mind." Jesus was also referred to as a Master Mind which means they were Christ Conscious.

SECTION IV

DALETH

Childhood and Early Education of John the Harbinger

Chapter 13

Elizabeth in Engedi, [Israel.] Teaches her son. John becomes the pupil of Matheno, who reveals to him the meaning of sin and the law of forgiveness.

1. Elizabeth was blest; she spent her time with John, and gave to him the lessons that [the Masters] Elihu and Salome had given her [in Egypt.]
2. And John delighted in the wilderness of his home and in the lessons that he learned.
3. Now in the hills were many caves. The cave of David was a-near in which the Hermit of Engedi lived.

4. This hermit was Matheno, priest of Egypt, master from the temple of Sakara [in Egypt.]

Ancient Temple Of Sakkara in Lower Egypt

5. When John was seven years of age Matheno took him to the wilderness and in the cave of David they abode.
6. Matheno taught, and John was thrilled with what the master said, and day by day Matheno opened up to him the mysteries of life.
7. John loved the wilderness; he loved his master and his simple fare. Their food was fruits, and nuts, wild honey and the carob bread.
8. Matheno was an Isrealite, and he attended all the Jewish feasts.
9. When John was nine years old Matheno took him to a great feast in Jerusalem.
10. The wicked Archelaus had been deposed and exiled to a distant land because of selfishness and cruelty, and John was not afraid.
11. John was delighted with his visit to Jerusalem. Matheno told him all about the service of the Jews; the meaning of their rites.
12. John could not understand how sin could be forgiven by killing animals and birds and burning them before the Lord.
13. Matheno said, The God of heaven and earth does not require sacrifice. This custom with its cruel rites was borrowed from the idol worshippers of other lands.
14. No sin was ever blotted out by sacrifice of animal, of bird, or man.
15. Sin is the rushing forth of man into fens of wickedness. If one would get away from sin he must retrace his steps, and find his way out of the fens of wickedness.
16. Return and purify your hearts by love and righteousness and you shall be forgiven.
17. This is the burden of the message that the harbinger shall bring to men.
18. What is forgiveness? John inquired.
19. Matheno said, It is the paying up of debts. A man who wrongs another man can never be forgiven until he rights the wrong.
20. The Vedas says that none can right the wrong but him who does the wrong.
21. John said, If this be true where is the power to forgive except the power that rests in man himself? Can man forgive himself?
22. Matheno said, The door is wide ajar; you see the way of man's return to right, and the forgiveness of his sins.

Chapter 14

Matheno's lessons. The doctrine of universal law. The power of man to choose and to attain. The benefits of antagonisms. Ancient sacred books. The place of John and Jesus in the world's history.

1. Matheno and his pupil, John, were talking of the sacred books of olden times, and of the golden precepts they contained, and John exclaimed,
2. These golden precepts are sublime; what need have we of other sacred books?
3. Matheno said, The Spirit of the Holy One cause every thing to come and go in proper time.
4. The sun has his own time to set, the moon to rise, to wax and wane, the stars to come and go, the rain to fall, the winds to blow;
5. The seed times and the harvest times to come; man to be born and man to die.
6. These mighty Spirits cause the nations to be born; they rock them in their cradles, nurtures them to greatest power, and when their tasks are done they wrap them in their winding sheets and lay them in their tombs.
7. Events are many in a nation's life, and in the life of man, that are not pleasant for the time; but in the end the truth appears: whatever comes is for the best.
8. Man was created for a noble part; but he could not be made a free man filled with wisdom, truth and might.
9. If he were hedged about, confined in straits from which he could not pass, then he would be a toy, a mere machine.
10. Creative spirits gave to man a will; and so he has the power to choose.
11. He may attain the greatest heights, or sink to deepest depths; for what he wills to gain he has the power to gain.
12. If he desires strength he has the power to gain that strength; but he must overcome resistances to reach the goal; no strength is ever gained in idleness.
13. So, in the whirl of many-sided conflicts man is placed where he must strive to extricate himself.
14. In every conflict man gains strength; with every conquest he attains to greater heights. With every day he finds new duties and new cares.
15. Man is not carried over dangerous pits, nor helped to overcome his foes. He is himself his army, and his sword and shield; and he is captain of his hosts.
16. The Holy Ones just light his way. Man never has been left without a beacon light to guide.
17. And he has ever had a lighted lamp in hand that he may see the dangerous rocks, the turbid streams and treacherous pits.
18. And so the Holy Ones have judged; when men have needed added light a master soul has come to earth to give the light.
19. Before the Vedic days the world had many sacred books to light the way; and when man needed greater light the Vedas, the Avesta and the books of Tao Great appeared to show the way to greater heights.
20. And in the proper place the Hebrew Bible, with its Law, its Prophets and its Psalms, appeared for man's enlightenment.
21. But years have passed and men have need of greater light.
22. And now the Day Star from on high begins to shine; and Jesus is the flesh-made messenger to show that light to men.
23. And you, my pupil, you have been ordained to harbinger the coming day.
24. But you must keep that purity of heart you now possess; and you must light your lamp directly from the coals that burn upon the altar of the Holy Ones.
25. And then your lamp will be transmuted to a boundless flame, and you will be a living torch whose light will shine wherever man abides.
26. But in the ages yet to come, man will attain to greater heights, and lights still more intense will come.
27. And then, at last, a mighty master soul will come to earth to light the way up to the throne of perfect man.

Chapter 15

Death and burial of Elizabeth. Matheno's lessons. The ministry of death. The mission of John. Institution of the rite of baptism. Matheno takes John to Egypt, and places him in the temple at Sakara, where he remains eighteen years.

1. When John was twelve years old his mother died, and neighbours laid her body in a tomb among her kindred in the Hebron burying ground, and near to Zacharias' tomb.
2. And John was deeply grieved; he wept. Matheno said, It is not well to weep because of death.
3. Death is no enemy of man; it is a friend who, when the work of life is done, just cuts the cord that binds the human boat to earth, that it may sail on smoother seas.
4. No language can describe a mother's worth, and yours was tried and true. But she was not called hence until her tasks were done.
5. The calls of death are always for the best, for we are solving problems there as well as here; and one is sure to find himself where he can solve his problems best.
6. It is but selfishness that makes one wish to call again to earth departed souls.
7. Then let your mother rest in peace. Just let her noble life be strength and inspiration unto you.
8. A crisis in your life has come, and you must have a clear conception of the work that you are called to do.
9. The sages of the ages call you harbinger. The prophets look to you and say, He is Elijah come again.
10. Your mission here is that of harbinger; for you will go before Messiah's face to pave his way, and make the people ready to receive their king.
11. This readiness is purity of heart; none but the purity in heart can recognise the king.
12. To teach men to be pure in heart, you must yourself be pure in heart, and word, and deed.
13. In infancy the vow for you was made and you became a Nazarite. The razor shall not touch your face nor head, and you shall taste not wine nor fiery drinks.
14. Men need a pattern for their lives; they love to follow, not to lead.
15. The man who stands upon the corners of the paths and points the way, but does not go, is just a pointer; and a block of wood can do the same.
16. The teacher treads the way; on every span of ground he leaves his footprints clearly cut, which all can see and be assured that he, their master went that way.
17. Men comprehend the inner life by what they see and do. They come to God through ceremonies and forms.
18. And so when you would make men know that sins are washed away by purity in life, a rite symbolic may be introduced.
19. In water wash the bodies of the people who would turn away from sin and strive for purity in life.
20. This rite of cleansing is a preparation rite and they who thus are cleansed comprise the Church of Purity.
21. And you shall say, You men of Israel, hear; Reform and wash; become the sons of purity, and you shall be forgiven.
22. This rite of cleansing and this church are but symbolic of the cleansing of the soul by purity in life, and of the kingdom of the soul, which does not come from outward show, but is the church within.
23. Now, you may never point the way and tell the multitudes to do what you have never done; but you must go before and show the way.
24. You are to teach that men must wash; so you must lead the way, your body must be washed, symbolic of the cleansing of the soul.
25. John said, Why need I wait? May I not go at once and wash?
26. Matheno said, 'Tis well, and then they went down to the Jordan ford, and east fo Jericho, just where the hosts of Israel crossed when first they entered Canaan, they tarried for a time.
27. Matheno taught the harbinger, and he explained to him the inner meaning of the cleansing rite and how to wash himself and how to wash the multitude.
28. And in the river Jordan John was washed; then they returned unto the wilderness.
29. Now in Engedi's hills Matheno's work was done and he and John went down to Egypt. They rested not until they reached the temple of Sakara in the valley of the Nile.
30. For many years Matheno was a master in this temple of the Brotherhood, and when he told about the life of John and of his mission to the sons of men, the hierophant with joy received the harbinger and he was called the Brother Nazarite.
31. For eighteen years John lived and wrought within these temple gates; and here he conquered self, became a master mind and learned the duties of the harbinger.
