'He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.'
The two main inner spirit bodies we need to rule over are our Emotional or Astral body and our Mental body. Without self control we become vulnerable to outside evil influences which can lead us down to hell. This means not only controlling our thoughts but also controlling our emotions.
