Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters

13No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. -Luke 16:13 Bible, King James Version

"Christ and the Rich Young Ruler" by Heinrich Hofmann

Everybody usually loves something more than anything else in their life. Essentially you worship whatever you love the most. For some people it is mammon or money while for others it is God. Jesus is suggesting that you cannot serve both. One must take priority.

In the 'Voice of the I AM' 1951 March p22 we read: "You have been told repeatedly that you cannot serve two masters; because it is a house divided against itself! If desire of the senses occupies the outer self too much, the Higher Mental Body recedes regardless of your Calls!"

The middle figure in the Chart represents the "Holy Christ Self," who is also called the Higher Self or the Higher Mental Body.

Our Higher Mental Body is the Christ Who is the Mediator between us and our Father in Heaven or the Mighty I AM Presence. Jesus became one with His Higher Mental Body therefore He became the Christ.
