Romans 8:4-6 To be spiritually minded is life

 

⁴ That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ⁵ For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. ⁶ For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. -Romans 8:4-6 Bible, King James Version
 

Our thoughts and feelings help to determine whether we are on the way to death and re-embodiment or on the way to Eternal Life and Peace in the Kingdom of Heaven for Eternity. The Kingdom of Heaven is a place of Purity therefore spiritual or pure thoughts and feelings raise our consciousness up towards Heaven while carnal or impure thoughts and feelings drag our consciousness down towards hell.
