John 5:14 Sin no more lest a worse thing come

Jesus healing the crippled man at the pool

14Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more,  lest a worse thing come unto thee. -John 5:14 Bible, King James Version

The Law of the Harvest, as you sow so shall you reap or in other words the Law of Karma, means that the karmic consequences of our sins or evil deeds will be future negative karma in this lifetime or another. Jesus knew this, therefore He advised the man He had healed not to sin any more or a worse ailment could come upon him.

Mighty Victory points out that; "Everything in your bodies that is not perfect, is simply your own disobedience returning upon you and condensed into yourselves!" ('The Voice of the I AM' 1951 March p25)

The Ascended Master, Beloved Charity, talks about the importance of not continuing to sin: "Don't think you can use This Law to forgive a thing one moment with the deliberate intent to do it over again the  next time you get a chance." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1944 November p46-47)

The Ascended Master, Beloved Jesus, teaches us: "There is no use healing people... just because they call out for relief from the distress; and then do not discontinue the cause- because We have healed thru the centuries! My Mother has healed limitless numbers thru the centuries, but unless mankind will stop generating the cause, they go forward and create more distress again!" ('The Voice of the I AM' 1947 May p14)
