1 Kings 6:19, 23, 27, 28; 8:1-8, 21Solomon'sTemple

         King Solomon's Temple

1 Kings 6:19King James Version (KJV)

19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

1 Kings 6:23

23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

1 Kings 6:27

27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

1 Kings 6:28

28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.

1 Kings 8:1-8

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
And they brought up the ark of the Lord, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.
For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

1 Kings 8:21

21 And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

Apocalypse Explained, by Emanuel Swedenborg, [1757-9], tr. by John Whitehead [1911], at sacred-texts.com

...the Tent of meeting represented the three heavens, its court the lowest or first heaven; the tent itself as far as the veil, wherein were the tables for the loaves, the altar of incense, and the lampstand, represented the middle or second heaven; and the ark, which was within the veil, upon which was the mercy-seat with the cherubim, represented the inmost or third heaven [Celestial]... (That the tent or tabernacle represented the form of heaven, and, together with the court, represented the three heavens, and that the holy of holies, which was the inmost, where the ark was, within which were the tables of the law, represented the third or inmost heaven, and that the law or testimony represented the Lord Himself, may be seen in the Arcana Coelestia, n. 3478, 9457, 9481, 9485. And that in the highest sense "the tabernacle," the same as "the temple," signifies the Lord, and in a relative sense heaven and the church, and thence the holiness of worship, n. 9457, 9481, 10242, 10245, 10304, 10545... [33] Bringing the ark into the inmost part of the temple built by Solomon has a like signification; this is thus described in the first book of Kings: Solomon prepared an adytum in the midst of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah; and in the adytum he made two cherubim of wood of oil, and he set the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, so that their wings were spread forth to the wall on each side, and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house; and he overlaid the cherubim with gold. And Solomon brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion. And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests lifted up the ark, and brought up the ark of Jehovah, and the tent of meeting, and all the vessels of holiness that were in the tent; and Solomon and all the congregation with him before the ark. And the priests brought the ark of the covenant of Jehovah into its place, into the adytum of the house, into the holy of holies, even under the wings of the cherubim; for the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof from above, and the heads of the staves were seen from the holy place, toward the faces of the adytum, but they were not seen without. And Solomon said, There have I set a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of Jehovah, which He made with our fathers when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt (1 Kings 6:19, 23, 27, 28; 8:1-8, 21). As the ark in the tent of meeting represented the third heaven where the Lord is, and the tent itself without the veil the second heaven, and the court the first heaven, so was it with the temple; for the temple with its courts represented the three heavens, therefore there was nothing in the temple or outside of the temple within the courts, that did not represent something of heaven, and this for the reason that the Lord at that time was present in representatives; for the churches before the Lord's coming were representative churches, and finally such as the church was that was instituted with the sons of Israel. But when the Lord came into the world, the externals that represented were abolished, for it was the Lord Himself that the representatives of the church shadowed forth and signified; and as these were external things, and as it were veilings, within which was the Lord, so when He came these veilings were taken away, and He was manifested, with heaven and the church, in which the Lord is the all in all. The primary representatives of the Lord, and thence of heaven and the church, were the tent of meeting with the table, the lamp stand, the altar of incense, and the ark there, also the altar with the burnt offerings and sacrifices, and afterwards the temple; the temple having a similar representation as the tent of meeting, with the difference that the tent of meeting was a more holy representative of the Lord, of heaven, and of the church, than the temple...

1 Samuel 17:4 Symbolism of David & Goliath

And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. -1 Samuel 17:4 King James Version (KJV)

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ, by Levi H. Dowling, [1920], at sacred-texts.com

Chapter 8

Elihu's lessons [in Egypt to Mary the mother of Jesus and Elizabeth the mother of John.] The David of the light. Goliath of the dark.

1. Again Elihu met his pupils in the sacred grove and said...
21. The only devil from which men must be redeemed is self, the lower self. If man would find his devil he must look within; his name is self.
22. If man would find his saviour he must look within; and when the demon self has been dethroned the saviour, Love, will be exulted to the throne of power.
23. The David of the light is Purity, who slays the strong Goliath of the dark, and seats the saviour, Love, upon the throne.

1 Samuel 16:7 The LORD looketh on the heart

'The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.'

In the inner worlds or higher Planes a man's spiritual stature is measured by how much of the Light of Divine Love is radiating from his Heart chakra. This determines his spiritual stature in the eyes of God. A spiritual King, or Christ, in the Kingdom of Heaven must have the Christ, or Divine Love, residing permanently in his or her Heart centre. A man may have been a spiritual leader or a priest at the head of his church or religion but if he does not have an open heart centre filled with the Light of Christ, or Divine Love, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven but he will instead go to a kingdom of lesser light which reflects his own inner light.

In his book 'Heaven and Hell' (p512 vs.587) Emmanuel Swedenborg teaches: "In the farthest reaches [of hell] are people who belonged to the so-called Catholic religious persuasion and who wanted in that context to be worshipped as gods, flaring up therefore with hatred and vengefulness at anyone who did not acknowledge their power over people's souls and over heaven."

1 Samuel 15:22 To obey is better than sacrifice

To Obey Is Better Than Sacrifice

'Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.'

One may make many sacrifices for the Kingdom of Heaven however unless they are in obedience to the Teachings of the Ascended Masters they may all be a waste of time and energy.

The Sacrifice of Animals

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling

CHAPTER 13.

3Now in the hills were many caves. The cave of David was a-near in which the Hermit of Engedi lived. 4This hermit was Matheno, priest of Egypt, master from the temple of Sakara. 5When John [the Baptist] was seven years of age Matheno took him to the wilderness and in the cave of David they abode. 6Matheno taught, and John was thrilled with what the master said, and day by day Matheno opened up to him the mysteries of life. 7John loved the wilderness; he loved his master and his simple fare. Their food was fruits, and nuts, wild honey and the carob bread. 8Matheno was an Israelite, and he attended all the Jewish feasts. 9When John was nine years old Matheno took him to a great feast in Jerusalem. 10The wicked Archelaus had been deposed and exiled to a distant land because of selfishness and cruelty, and John was not afraid. 11John was delighted with his visit to Jerusalem. Matheno told him all about the service of the Jews; the meaning of their sacrifices and their rites. 12John could not understand how sin could be forgiven by killing animals and birds and burning them before the Lord. 13Matheno said, The God of heaven and earth does not require sacrifice. This custom with its cruel rites was borrowed from the idol worshippers of other lands. 14No sin was ever blotted out by sacrifice of animal, of bird, or man. 15Sin is the rushing forth of man into the fens of wickedness. If one would get away from sin he must retrace his steps, and find his way out of the fens of wickedness. 16Return and purify your hearts by love and righteousness and you shall be forgiven.

Judges 16:17 If I be shaven I shall become weak

17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man. -Judges 16:17 King James Version (KJV)

True Christian Religion, by Emanuel Swedenborg, [1771], tr. by John C. Ager [1906] at sacred-texts.com

223.
(7) The power of the Word in its outmosts was represented by the Nazarites. In the book of Judges we read that Samson was a Nazarite from his mother's womb, and that his strength lay in his hair; moreover, "Nazarite" and "Nazariteship" mean the hair. That his strength lay in his hair, he himself showed, when he said: There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite from my mother's womb; if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and I shall be like any other man (Judges 16:17). No one can know why the Nazariteship, which means the hair, was instituted, and why Samson's strength lay in his hair, unless he knows what is signified in the Word by the "head." The "head" signifies the intelligence that men and angels have from the Lord through Divine truth; and therefore the "hair" signifies intelligence from Divine truth in things outmost or last. Because of this signification of the "hair" there was a law for the Nazarites: That they should not shave the hair of their head, because that was the Nazariteship of God upon their head (Num. 6:1-21) therefore it was also a law, that the high priest and his sons should not shave their heads, lest they die, and lest wrath come upon the whole house of Israel (Lev. 10:6). Because the hair, on account of that signification, which is from correspondence, was so holy, the Son of Man, who is the Lord in respect to the Word, is described even as to the hair: That it was white as white wool, as snow (Rev. 1:14). Likewise as the Ancient of Days (Dan. 7:9). Because the hair signifies truth in outmosts, thus the sense of the letter of the Word, those in the spiritual world who despise the Word become bald; and on the other hand, those who have held the Word in high esteem and have regarded it as holy appear with comely hair. It was because of this correspondence, That forty-two youths were torn to pieces by two she-bears, because they called Elisha bald-head (2 Kings 2:23,24); for "Elisha" represented the church in regard to doctrine from the Word, and "she-bears" signify the power of truth in outmosts...

Judges 4:4 A prophetess

            Deborah: A Fundamentalist’s Worst Nightmare!

'Deborah a prophetess.'

Just as there were male and female prophets there are both male and female Masters. For example, Beloved Mary the mother of Jesus is an Ascended Master.

Joshua 24:15 Choose this day whom ye will serve

'Choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.'

Now is the day and the hour of our salvation or damnation depending on how we choose to serve God and work out our salvation. This also suggests we should seek to work out out salvation now in this lifetime, or circuit of life, rather than thinking we can do so in our next embodiment or even another day in this lifetime because tomorrow we could be dead.

In the Books of the Saviour; 'Mary... said unto the Saviour[Jesus]: "My Lord, ...if souls come into the world in many circuits and are neglectful of receiving mysteries hoping that, if they come into the world at any other circuit, they will receive them, will they then not be in danger of not succeeding in receiving the mysteries? "The Saviour answered and said unto his disciples: "Herald unto the whole world and say unto men: Strive thereafter that ye receive the mysteries of the Light in this time of affliction and enter into the Light-kingdom. Join not one day to another, or one circuit to another, hoping that ye may succeed in receiving the mysteries if ye come into the world in another circuit."'('Pistis Sophia' by G.R.S. Mead p262)

Referring to the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, as revealed by Saint Germain in this day and age, the Archangel Michael points out that; "If you pass this opportunity you will wait such a long time again. I would not care to estimate it to you. The unfortunate people who doubt the Reality of this Truth are the most unfortunate on this planet!"

Beloved Mighty Helios teaches: "If you do not come Our Way, then you go the other way, for there is no such thing as standing still!... Unless you use This Fiery Love from your "Beloved I AM Presence" and from Our Octave, the only other place you can go in the Universe, is to annihilation. You have your choice today! You either enter into the Fiery Love of My Heart, have your Freedom and become the Saviours of your Nation and the World; or you go with the destructive forces into annihilation. Make your choice!... The hour of decision is at hand, and you either come to Our Perfection, or you turn your backs upon It, you go the way of the sinister force, which is annihilation... Individuals who will not face This Great Love to Life to Which We call you, wherein abides only Eternal Happiness, Freedom and Boundless Perfection- individuals who will not come Our Way at this time, must face the frightful suffering of their own creation; and because they are unawakened and unlearned concerning the Law, their suffering will be terrible!" ('The Voice of the I AM' 1949 April p28-29)
