And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. -John 19:37 Bible, King James Version
This appears to be a reference to Zechariah 12:10-11 & 13:6 in the Old Testament which reads:
'And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son... In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem...And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'
Many Christians believe this is a prophecy concerning the Second Coming of Jesus to the Jews who will mourn because they crucified their own Jewish Messiah.
