Romans 5:5 The Love of God is in our Hearts

The Thirty-third Degree Freemason C. W. Leadbeater reveals: In the magnificent illumination given in the Eighteenth Degree, that of the Sovereign Prince of the Rose-Croix of Heredom… [the Mason]  finds the divine Love reigning in his own heart and in those of his Brn. [Brethren] He also learns that God has descended and shared our lower nature with us expressly in order that we may ascend to share His true nature with Him. …It further teaches us that God sits enthroned in every human heart, that the inmost Spirit of each man is part of God Himself, a spark of the Divine; and that therefore all men are one in Him, and there is no height to which man may not aspire. …Each Knight [of the Rose-Croix] should meditate upon it and try to realize all that it involves for the knowledge which it gives should permeate the whole fibre of his very essence, if he is to do the duty which is expected of him. …For the man who really knows this, all life is one great glad song of triumph and of gratitude. All this he acknowledges, in all this he rejoices, every time he remembers that wondrous Word of power (The Name of T.G.A.O.T.U. [The Great Architect Of The Universe? God? The author does not say what this Word of Power is but on p275 he talks about the Sacred word AUM or OM] which is revealed to the aspirant in this most wonderful 18[th Degree] was the central and innermost secret of the ancient Egyptian mystery teaching. It is the clear duty of every Knight of the Rose-Croix to spread this light abroad- to preach by word when possible, and always by action, this true “gospel of the grace of God.” In the Co-Masonic form of this Degree he is instructed to offer himself as a channel for the Divine force and to make efforts to co-operate with T.G.A.O.T.U. [or God?] By this daily work… the Christ dwelling in man, should be aroused and greatly developed, so that he becomes, to the limit of his capacity, a living manifestation of the Eternal Love, a veritable priest who is its instrument for the helping of the world. In this Degree also we find certain symbols of deep significance. The flower of the Rose… [and] the Cross. …So when these two emblems are taken in conjunction, as they always are in the name Rose-Croix, they betoken the Love of Self-sacrifice, the secret of Immortality, and the sweet Fragrance of a Holy life. (p296-298) Much of the ancient wisdom has been allowed to slip into oblivion, and so some of the true secrets were lost to the great body of the Brn. [Brethren] But among the Hierophants [or wise Master teachers] of the Great White Brotherhood the true secrets have ever been preserved and they will always reward the search of the really earnest Mason. You may be interested to know that just as Jesus is acknowledged as the Master at the Head of all the Christian Religions C. W. Leadbeater teaches: The Chohan of the Seventh Ray… is that Master of the Wisdom of whom we often speak as the Comte de St. Germain. (p11) He was the Comte de St. Germain at the time of the French Revolution. …This great Saint and Teacher still lives and His present body has no appearance of great age. I myself met Him physically in Rome in 1901 and had a long conversation with Him. The Ascended Masters recommend that you; "Practice several times a day sitting quietly, very still, and feeling the energy at your solar plexus… become very still! Turn the attention to the Heart and the Unfed Flame within your Heart, or to the “I AM Presence” above you. …I know some of you have never completely entered into that Stillness, for if you had ever touched It once, you would know that there is God’s Greatest Power. It is the Throne-Room of your Being… (p13) If you have learned to command the energy at the solar plexus to be quiet and feel the Power of the Great Great Silence, you can suddenly withdraw everything from the outer, and go as it were, within the Throne-Room of the Light in your Heart, and feel there the Love from your Presence- Its Strength and Power, and abide within It for awhile… (p21) So if you will acquire that Calm, Poised Mastery of the energy at your solar plexus… you will find you can move forward from one Victory to another and your struggle grows less and less. [197] Those who are in faith alone believe in instantaneous salvation and pure mercy; and therefore they implore mercy alone and believe that they are instantly saved the moment they receive faith, even though it be in the last hour of death. They also believe that the remission of all sins consists in the wiping away of all evils. They have no comprehension of remission by means of repentance of life, but only of remission by means of faith arising from thinking such things as they call of their faith; thus they are ignorant of all the means of salvation. It was shown them that such things are a phantasy; and this phantasy was represented as being interiorly full of poisonous serpents...

[198] When they think from their doctrine about faith alone, and are opposed by the statement, in The Epistle of James, that men should show their faith by works, there appears as it were a knife flying forth to slay those who perceive this to be the case. And from one side comes forth an idea of Luther, and from the other, whither the knife flies, an idea of James, although Luther and James themselves are not there. The reason is, because, Luther excluded the Epistle of James... Luther taught that salvation and subsequently eternity in heaven is not earned by good deeds but is received only as a free gift of God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ as redeemer from sin and subsequently eternity in Hell.]

[201] It was made known by living experience that those who have been in faith alone and have led a moral life, had made heavens for themselves, where they seemed to themselves to have been in light; but it was shown that it is a wintry light, for when angels looked thither, in place of light there appeared a thick darkness. 6 It is impossible for a man to be saved in ignorance.

As is taught by the Mormon Church, it is impossible for a man to be saved in ignorance. They try to get around this by practicing proxy marriages and baptisms for the dead but this will not be enough to gain the Ascension. This means that these spirits will have to re-embody in order to receive the Teachings of the Ascended Masters so they can attain the Ascension in that future embodiment.

CHAPTER 103

In a word, it is impossible to bring souls into the Light without the mysteries of the Light-kingdom."

CHAPTER 111

When then the disciples had said this, the Saviour continued again and said unto his disciples: "If ye go into cities or kingdoms or countries, proclaim first unto them, saying: Search ever and cease not, until ye find the mysteries of the Light which will lead you into the Light-kingdom. Say unto them: Beware of the doctrines of error. For many will come in my name... and they will lead many astray. Now, therefore, unto all men who come unto you and have faith in you and hearken unto your words and do what is worthy of the mysteries of the Light, give the mysteries of the Light and hide them not from them. And unto him who is worthy of the higher mysteries, give them, and to him who is worthy of the lower mysteries, give them, and hide not anything from any one...

CHAPTER 125

Mary continued again and said unto the Saviour: "My Lord, if the faith and the mysteries shall have revealed themselves, -now, therefore, if souls come into the world in many circuits [or changes of the body] and are neglectful of receiving mysteries, hoping that, if they come into the world at any other circuit, they will receive them, will they not then be in danger |317. of not succeeding in receiving the mysteries?"

The Saviour answered and said unto his disciples: "Herald unto the whole world and say unto men: Strive thereafter that ye may receive the mysteries of the Light in this time... and enter into the Light-kingdom. Join not one day to another, or one circuit to another, hoping that ye may succeed in receiving the mysteries if ye come into the world in another circuit...

|318... "At that time then the faith will reveal itself still more and the mysteries in those days. And many souls will come by means of the circuits of the changes of the body... coming back into the world...

CHAPTER 133

The Saviour answered and said unto Mary: "Amēn, I say unto you: All which is appointed unto every one... whether all good or all sins... cometh unto them. For this cause, therefore, have I brought |351. the keys of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; otherwise no flesh in the world would be saved. For without mysteries no one will enter into the Light-kingdom, be he a righteous or a sinner... |352... "For this cause, therefore, I have not hidden it, but I have cried it aloud clearly. And I have not separated the sinners, but I have cried it aloud and said it unto all men, unto sinners and righteous, saying: 'Seek that ye may find, knock that it may be opened unto you; for every one who seeketh in truth, will find, and who knocketh, to him it will be opened.' For I have said unto all men: They are to seek the mysteries of the Light-kingdom which shall purify them and make them refined and lead them into the Light. For this cause, therefore, hath John the Baptizer prophesied concerning me, saying: 'I indeed have baptized you with water unto repentance for forgiveness of your sins. He who cometh after me, is stronger than me. Whose fan is in his hand, and he will purify his floor. The chaff indeed he will consume with unquenchable fire, but the wheat he will gather into his barn.' The power in John hath prophesied concerning me, knowing that I would bring the mysteries into the world and purify the sins of the sinners who shall have faith in me and hearken unto me, and make them into refined light and lead them into the Light."


Mighty Victory teaches us: "...the masses of mankind, until they are taught this Law, do not have permanent Victory! ...Like a pendulum they swing and swing and swing, and never stabilize anywhere; because they cannot, until they know That Glorious Word "I AM"; understand where the "Mighty I AM Presence" is; what It is and what It can do for them. Only then can they see, know and accept the Reality of the Mighty Ascended Masters; the Great Cosmic Beings... Until they know the "Beloved Mighty I AM Presence" and Its Cosmic Law, they are not stabilized within Permanent Happiness nor Perfection." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1951 June p28-29)

We are all judged by God according to our spirituality not according to our status in life.

Most Christians believe they will face Judgement when they pass over to the Spirit World. What they may not realize is that we are all right now facing the Karma of our past deeds in this life as well as our past lives. When we pass over to the Spirit World it is more about instant karma depending on our state of consciousness at that moment in time which will be reflected in the world around us like a spiritual mirror rather than what we may have done in the past on the earth.

Beloved Jesus teaches us: "Because it is the close of a Cycle, each Life Stream is tried... and ...tested to know how strong the Light is, and how much substance and energy is still qualified with the human accumulation. Now when that testing time comes, beloved ones, no one can help you, not even We! When the hour strikes for you to stand before the Great Lord the Maha Chohan, before the Mighty Cosmos or before the Mighty Divine Director, and have Their Great Magnificent Observation of Life poured upon your Life Stream, you cannot hide anything... You must at a certain point on the Path, come under This Observation." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1946 May p10)

Chapter 52

The Second State of Man After Death.

509. When evil spirits are in this second state, as they rush into evils of every kind they are subjected to frequent and grievous punishments. In the world of spirits there are many kinds of punishment; and there is no regard for person, whether one had been in the world a king or a servant. Every evil carries its punishment with it, the two making one; therefore whoever is in evil is also in the punishment of evil. And yet no one in the other world suffers punishment on account of the evils that he had done in this world, but only on account of the evils that he then does; although it amounts to the same and is the same thing whether it be said that men suffer punishment on account of their evils in the world or that they suffer punishment on account of the evils they do in the other life, since every one after death returns into his own life and thus into like evils; and the man continues the same as he had been in the life of the body. Men are punished for the reason that the fear of punishment is the sole means of subduing evils in this state. Exhortation is no longer of any avail, neither is instruction or fear of the law and of the loss of reputation, since every one then acts from his nature; and that nature can be restrained and broken only by punishments. But good spirits, although they had done evils in the world, are never punished, because their evils do not return. Moreover, I have learned that the evils they did were of a different kind or nature, not being done purposely in opposition to the truth, or from any other badness of heart than that which they received by inheritance from their parents...
