Eastern religions believe that amen shares roots with the Hindu Sanskrit word, Aum. See 'Autobiography of a Yoga' by Yogananda Paramahansa 1946, chapter 26: Kriya Yoga is mentioned twice by the ancient sage Patanjali, foremost exponent of yoga, who wrote: "Kriya Yoga consists of body discipline, mental control, and meditating on Aum." Patanjali speaks of God as the actual Cosmic Sound of Aum heard in meditation. Aum is the Creative Word, the sound of the Vibratory Motor. Even the yoga-beginner soon inwardly hears the wondrous sound of Aum. Receiving this blissful spiritual encouragement, the devotee becomes assured that he is in actual touch with divine realms. [Reference 8: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."-John 1:1-3. Aum (Om) of the Vedas became the sacred word Amin of the Moslems, Hum of the Tibetans, and Amen of the Christians (its meaning in Hebrew being sure, faithful). "These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God."-Revelations 3:14.] 

I believe the Sacred Name of God is hidden in the Word "AMen." The Name of God is "I AM" or "AM." I also believe It is hidden in the Eastern Creative Word "AUM." This is several Mantras in one which can be used as the individual Sounds A-U-M or combine the first and second letters with the Sound "M" giving us the Name of God "AM" or in other words "I AM."

The Bible gives us an historical account of Jesus’ life and teachings in Jerusalem during his three year mission from about the age of thirty to thirty-three. It also includes a few brief references indicating that Jesus spent part of His early life in Egypt and that He was teaching in the Temple of Jerusalem at age twelve. (Luke 2:42 & Matthew 2:13-15) Apart from this there is no account of Jesus’ life and teachings between the ages of twelve and thirty. There is only a veiled reference to his disciples in other lands when He teaches the Jews: Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: [in Jerusalem] them also I must bring, and they shall here my voice. (John 10:16)  To find out about this period in Jesus’ life we must look beyond the Bible.

                                             NICOLAS NOTOVITCH

Frank J. Muccie, Jr. points out that; Jesus’ visits and stays in foreign lands is an absolute certainty, as many ancient Essene. documents verify this. One account was discovered in Tibet by Nicolas Notovitch. He had two manuscripts read to him by the lama of the Hemis Convent which were translated from scrolls belonging to the Lhasa Library. The Hemis monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located in Hemis, Ladakh within the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. These were placed in a Convent standing on Mount Marbour, near Lhasa. This version of Jesus’ life and teachings was originally recorded within three or four years after the death of Jesus Who it refers to as Issa. Isa means Lord over everything. Jesus is also referred to as Isa in the Qur’an, or Koran, the Muslim’s Holy Book. From this account we learn that when Issa had attained the age of thirteen, when an Israelite should take a wife, it was then that Issa secretly left his father’s house, went out of Jerusalem, and in the company of some merchants, travelled toward Sindh. Sindhi is one of the provinces of Pakistan. In the course of His fourteenth year, young Issa visited Juggernaut where He received a joyous welcome from the white priests of Brahma. He spent six years in Juggernaut, [which is in the Puri town, Orissa state, India. The life of the town centers around the cult of Juggernaut, a form of the Krishna incarnation of Vishnu.]  Rajagriha, [Rajgar, ancient Rajagriha, is a city in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar] Benares, [in India] and other holy cities. The white priests and the warriors becoming aware of the discourse addressed by Issa to the Soudras, the lowest division in the Hindu caste system, resolved upon His death and sent their servants for this purpose. But Issa, warned of this danger by the Soudras, fled in the night from Juggernaut, gained the mountains, and took refuge in the Gothamide Country. The Gothamide Country is apparently the birthplace of the Great Buddha Cakya-Mouni which is the Tibetan name for Siddharta Buddha the founder of Buddhism who was born in Lumbini which was originally in Northern India but is now in Nepal. Six years later Issa left Nepal and the Himalaya Mountains and went westward. The Divine Issa taught the people. When He reached Persia the priests were terrified and forbade the inhabitants to listen to him. Issa was twenty-nine years of age when He arrived in the land of Israel. (See The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ by Nicolas Notovitch.

There have been others who have visited the Hemis monastery confirming the existence of the Issa manuscript. In his book Journey into Kashmir and Tibet, Swami Abhedananda of the Ramakrishna Society travelled to Hemis after he had read Nicolas Notovitch’s book to see the manuscript for himself. He was shown a manuscript which was a translation into Tibetan of the original manuscript which was in a monastery at Marbour near Lhasa. He made a translation himself which apparently closely matched that of Nicolas Notovitch’s version.

Nicholas Roerich also visited the Hemis monastery in 1925. He published an account of this in his books Altai-Himalaya-A Travel Diary and Heart of Asia-Memoirs from the Himalayas. This is also supported by Murdo MacDonald Bayne’s book Beyond the Himalayas in which Geshi Tung La points out: The Master Jesus.  We have records of him here. [in Tibet] According to C. W. Leadbeater, in his book The Masters and the Path  we read: In Tibet… a narrow door… leads to a system of vast subterranean halls containing an occult [or secret] museum of which the Master Kuthumi is the Guardian on behalf of the Great White Brotherhood. …Original manuscripts of incredible antiquity… are here to be seen- a manuscript for example… written by the Lord Christ during his birth in Palestine.

Another account of Jesus’ life and teachings in Egypt, India, Persia, Greece, Tibet and Jerusalem is recorded in a book entitled The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by Levi H. Dowling. Early in life Levi had a vision in which he was told that he was to; build a white city. This vision was repeated three times with years intervening. The building of the white city was The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ. The contents of his book were transcribed from the Akashic Records. These are records in the atmosphere or on a higher Plane in the Spirit World. In this account while Mary, Joseph and Elizabeth with their sons Jesus and John were in Zoan Egypt they were taught for three years by the Masters Elihu and Salome before they returned back home. Jesus spends a year living in the Jerusalem Temple. Some time after the age of twelve He travels with Ravanna, a royal prince of Orissa in India, where He becomes a pupil in the temple Jagannath and here He learned the Vedas. Jesus with his friend Lamaas went through all the regions of Orissa and the valley of the Ganges. In Benares of the Ganges Jesus learnt the Hindu art of healing. For four years Jesus abode in the temple Jagannath. In the cities of Orissa Jesus taught. At Katak, by the river side, He taught and thousands of the people followed him. At Behar, on the sacred river of the Brahms, He taught for many days. The Brahmic priests are enraged because of Jesus’ teachings and so they resolve to drive Him from India. They find a murderer by trade and sent him out by night to slay Jesus so he left Benares and journeyed to the city of Kapivastu in the Himalayas. Jesus spends time in Lhasa, Tibet, then He travels to Lahore with a caravan of merchantmen who were journeying through the Kashmir vale as Jesus passed that way. They had seen His mighty works in Leh. Leh was the capital of the Himalayan Kingdom of Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. He was twenty-four years of age when He entered Persia. The priests forbade Him from teaching or healing the sick but He regarded not their angry threats. In time He reached Persepolis, the city of the learned Magi, Hor, Lun and Mer, the three wise men. When Jesus’ work in Persia was done He resumed His journey to Chaldea. In Ur He tarried for a time before travelling home to Nazareth. Jesus longed to study with the Masters in the schools of Greece so He left Nazareth, crossed the Carmel hills, and took a ship to the Grecian capital where He teaches the Greek Masters. Next He sails to Egypt and travels to Zoan where His mother was taught twenty-five years before. At age thirty Jesus begins His Mission in Jerusalem. Following His Resurrection Jesus appears in Jerusalem, India, Persia, Greece, near Rome, Egypt and finally He Ascends to Heaven on the Mount of Olives. According to the Mormon Church’s Book of Mormon Jesus also visited the people in ancient America after His resurrection.

We read in Levi Dowling’s account that Jesus was accepted as a pupil in the temple Jagannath. (See p40 The Aquarian Gospel Jesus the Christ.) In 1959 the Shankaracharya of Puri, India, His Holiness Sri Bharati Krishna Titha was interviewed by Sri Daya Mata who was the President of the Self-Realization Fellowship. She commented that she had been told that Jesus spent some of his life in India in association with her illumined sages. His Holiness replied; That is true. I have studied ancient records in the Puri Jagannath Temple archives confirming those facts. He was known as Isha and during part of his time in India he stayed in the Jagannath Temple. When he returned to his part of the world he expounded the teachings known today as Christianity.

Godfre and Lotus Ray King from the Saint Germain Foundation in 1940 claimed that Jesus the Christ stood in their home many times in His Visible Tangible Ascended Master Body, held them in His Arms and they kissed His Hands. (See The Voice of the I AM 1940 p39) In 1941 Jesus revealed to them that He visited some places in India before his Ministry in Judea began. With regards to the limited amount of information concerning the life and teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible Saint John admits; there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. (John 21:25)

John 21:20-24 Saint John did not die

²⁰ Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?²¹ Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? 22 

Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. ²³ Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? ²⁴ This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. John 21:22-24 (Bible, King James Version)

Jesus did not have to die. He could have simply Ascended up into Heaven without going through the death process. He suffered death to show mankind that death could be overcome if one knows the way. The original Divine Way to gain the Ascension was not to pass through so-called death. This is pointed out by Beloved Mighty Cylopea who I believe is one of the Seven Mighty Elohim: "Each of you should be a "Sun Presence" in your Being and world, to give the Light, the Life and the Love from the Heart Flame of your "Mighty I AM Presence," into outer physical conditions. That is your Duty to Life; and if you fulfill your duty you automatically gain the Ascension the Eternal Divine Way, the Ascended Masters' Way without passing through so-called death." ('The Voice of the I AM' 1948 August p12)

The reality is that not all I AM Students will be able to complete the Ascension before they die therefore the Ascended Masters have granted a Great Dispensation to enable them to still attain the Ascension at the time of their so-called death. The Ascended Masters teach: "There will be certain ones among the I AM Students for whom at the time of passing, not otherwise being able to complete the Ascension in this embodiment, the Purified Essence of the Physical body will be drawn up into the Etheric body. In this way they will be permitted to make the Ascension. That Assistance or Gift of Love is the most Magnificent Thing ever offered to mankind by Life. This Assistance will make it possible for thousands and thousands in the world to be set Free from the earth forever, who would otherwise require another embodiment. In all the experiences of the Ages never has such a thing been permitted by Life."

 

John 20:31 The Christ

³¹ But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. -John 20:31 (Bible, King James Version)

The word Christ is an official title which means, The Master of Love. When we say "Jesus, the Christ" we refer to the man and to his office.

CHAPTER 79.

 John explains to the multitude the mis­sion of Jesus.

⁷I have performed the work that I was sent to do; the work of Jesus just begins.

⁸Then turning to the multi­tudes he said, Christ is the king of righteousness; Christ is the love of God; yea, he is God; one of the holy persons of the Triune God.

⁹Christ lives in every heart of purity.

¹⁰Now, Jesus who is preaching at the Jordan ford, has been sub­jected to the hardest tests of human life, and he has conquered all the ap­petites and passions of the carnal man.

¹¹And by the highest court of heaven, has been declared a man of such superior purity and holiness that he can demonstrate the pres­ence of the Christ on earth.

¹²Lo, love divine, which is the Christ, abides in him, and he is pat­tern for the race.

¹³And every man can see in him what every man will be when he has conquered all the passions of the selfish self.

¹⁴In water I have washed the bodies of the people who have turned from sin, symbolic of the cleansing of the soul;

¹⁵But Jesus bathes forever in the living waters of the Holy Breath.

¹⁶And Jesus comes to bring the savior of the world to men; Love is the savior of the world.

¹⁷And all who put their trust in Christ, and follow Jesus as a pat­tern and a guide, have everlasting life.

¹⁸But they who do not trust the Christ, and will not purify their hearts so that the Christ can dwell within, can never enter life.

CHAPTER 128.

¹⁶...Jesus told the twelve about the inner light that cannot fail;

¹⁷About the kingdom of the Christ within the soul...

CHAPTER 129.

⁶Where is your profit if you gain the world and lose your soul? What would you take in payment for your soul?

⁷If you would find the spirit life, the life of man in God, then you must walk a narrow way and enter through a narrow gate.

⁸The way is Christ, the gate is Christ, and you must come up by the way of Christ. No man comes unto God but by the Christ.

...[8] In John: Jesus said unto Peter, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast a boy, thou girdedst thy loins, and walkedst whither thou wouldest; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hand, and another shall gird thy loins, and lead thee whither thou wouldest not (John 21:18); he who does not know the internal sense of the Word, cannot know what these words involve. That they contain arcana [or secrets] is very evident. In the internal sense by "Peter" is signified the faith of the church (see the preface to Genesis 18 and 22, also n. 3750, 6000, 6073, 6344). Thus by "Peter when a boy" is signified the faith of the church such as it is in its beginning; and by "Peter when old," the faith of the church such as it is at its end. From this it is evident what is signified by the words, "when thou wast a boy, thou girdedst thy loins, and walkedst whither thou wouldest," namely, that the faith of the church in its beginning is the faith of truth from good, thus the faith of charity toward the neighbor and of love to the Lord, and that then the man of the church does good from freedom, because from the Lord; for "the loins" denote the goods of love (n. 3021, 3294, 4280, 4575, 5050-5062), consequently "to gird the loins" denotes to clothe good with truths; "walking" denotes living (n. 519, 1794, 8417, 8420); thus "walking whither one would" denotes living in freedom, for those live in freedom, or act from freedom, who are in faith from love to the Lord and charity toward the neighbor, because they are led by the Lord (n. 892, 905, 2870-2893, 6325, 9096). "When thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thy loins, and lead thee whither thou wouldest not," signifies that at the end of the church there will be no faith, and then falsities of evil from the loves of self and the world will take its place, and will reduce it to bondage. This is the secret which lies hidden in these words of the Lord, and which can be seen only from their internal sense. From this it is again evident in what manner the Lord spoke, namely, that in every detail there was an internal sense, to the intent that by means of the Word heaven might be conjoined with the world; for without the Word there is no conjunction, that is, without revealed Divine truth; and if there is no conjunction, the human race perishes.

John 20:19-29 Jesus proves He is Resurrected

¹⁹ Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

²⁰ And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

²¹ Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

²³ Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

²⁶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

²⁷ Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

After Jesus raises His physical body from the dead He appears to His disciples. He then proves to them that He is not a spirit by allowing them to handle His Resurrected Body of flesh and bones. During the Resurrection, Jesus united His physical body with His Higher Mental Body. As a Resurrected Master Jesus was then able to raise or lower His Higher Mental Body up and down between the Higher Mental Plane and the Physical Plane.

Beloved Saint Germain teaches: "Even the Mighty Master Jesus and every Being who ever Ascended, could not go into that Higher Mental Body without being taught and seeing the use of the Violet Consuming Flame." (The Voice of the I AM 1947 August p20)

John 20:17 Resurrection process

                                                                        Higher Self

 

Jesus had just attained the Resurrection from the dead which means He had become one literally with His Higher Mental Body which is the Body He appeared to Mary in. He had not yet raised His Resurrected Body up into Heaven in order to present Himself to His Father in Heaven or Mighty I AM Presence. Our Higher Mental Body is our first Higher Self or Overself which stands above us between our physical body and our I AM Presence.

 

Our Higher Self, Overself or Soul resides above us rather than within us as our individual spirit does. This Individualized Presence of God gives us Life via a stream of Light which flows down into our Crown Chakra at the top of our head. When this Holy Spirit descends into our physical body like a dove we become a  Godman or Master because we are now one with God.

CHAPTER 8.

Elihu’s lessons to Jesus' mother in Egypt

¹Again Elihu met his pupils in the sacred grove and said,
⁵There are two selfs; the higher and the lower self.
⁶The higher self is human spirit clothed with soul, made in the form of God.
⁷The lower self, the carnal self, the body of desires, is a reflexion of the higher self, distorted by the murky ethers of the flesh.
⁸The lower self is an illusion, and will pass away; the higher self is God in man, and will not pass away.
⁹The higher self is the embodi­ment of truth; the lower self is truth reversed, and so is falsehood manifest.
¹⁰The higher self is justice, mercy, love and right; the lower self is what the higher self is not.
¹¹The lower self breeds hatred, slander, lewdness, murders, theft, and everything that harms; the higher self is mother of the virtues and the harmonies of life.
¹²The lower self is rich in prom­ises, but poor in blessedness and peace; it offers pleasure, joy and sat­isfying gains; but gives unrest and misery and death.
¹³It gives men apples that are lovely to the eye and pleasant to the smell; their cores are full of bit­terness and gall.
¹⁴If you would ask me what to study I would say, yourselfs; and when you well had studied them, and then would ask me what to study next, I would reply, your­selfs.
¹⁵He who knows well his lower self, knows the illusions of the world, knows of the things that pass away; and he who knows his higher self, knows God; knows well the things that cannot pass away.
¹⁶Thrice blessed is the man who has made purity and love his very own; he has been ransomed from the perils of the lower self and is himself his higher self.
